First night of Training Camp…

I have dealt with pain in my back constantly and on the first night of camp I received prayer for my back from another team member and felt the presence of the Lord. Randomly the name Kori came to my mind. I frantically asked wheres Kori, I need to pray for her, God wants us to pray for her. Let me remind you I just had met Kori,  I knew nothing about her except that she had scoliosis and I honestly do not even know how that topic came up. Well Kori was already asleep so I brushed off the urgency of how I felt the need to pray for her.

Day two I was minding my own business sitting in the back and The Lord reminded me go pray for Kori. I tried to reason with God because something I was afraid of is praying for people out loud, yet alone someone I literally just met the day before and knew nothing about. So I finally got up (because I lost the argument) and went to go find Kori. I found her and said to her, “Hi, how are you?… Can I pray for you?” She replied “Yes” my thoughts were Dang it! Ok God you win! Service was about to start so yet again it had to wait… Through out the next day I prayed to God asking when do you want me to pray for Kori? What was the deal to why I didn’t get a free moment to pray for her, and The Lord said to just wait. So I did…

Around day four, We went to a teaching that morning and I happened to be sitting next to Kori. The service was about healing. At the end of the service they asked anyone who needed healing to stand up and the people sitting around them to pray for them. Kori stood up and began to tell us she had scoliosis and wants healing for it. I thought oh my goodness is this finally my chance to pray for her? So we all laid our hands on Kori and began to pray. I had a side thought to how odd it was that out of the 250 people in the room I was sitting next to Kori for this service. After the prayers ended we asked Kori how are you feeling? She replied, “I feel extreme peace!” I even had a thought to how Kori looked taller! Carly from our squad  came up to us and said Kori you look taller, she had no idea what we even prayed about! Me and Kori looked at each other and began to laugh… Did God really just heal Kori’s back!!? And did the Lord really just let me be apart of that. I finally got a chance to pray for her and step out of my comfort zone of praying out loud! Still to this day Kori has zero back pain and we know that her back is Healed! God DID heal her back! I just thought how amazing God used two totally different stories to bless each of us and minister to us individually.
