Hello Everyone!!!!!
It’s August 7th and that means training camp is in 13 days! And Launch is in less than 2 months!! Whoa. This year is flying by! I applied for the world race back in January and that seems like years ago. Seriously haha. But it’s been the most amazing ride so far!
Preparation for Traning Camp is coming along. I have my pack, day pack, sleeping bag, tent, headlamp, packing cubes, computer and a few miscellaneous things. However I still need my sleeping pad, airporter, clothes, and a few small things. With only 12 days till I leave for TC I’m on a tight schedule, but I know it will all come together.
The real reason I wanted to write this post is to share the goodness of God and the huge blessings He has been pouring onto me lately. First, I would like to acknowledge all of my supporters both prayerfully and financially. None of this would be possible without you all. Thank you. Truly it means everything that you all believe in me and this trip God has laid on my heart. Recently I’ve been having a hard time believing this was all possible. That I would be able to meet my financial goals on time, be able to buy all of my gear, and get my vaccinations. Surely enough God put a stop to those fears immediately.
Last week I celebrated my 22nd birthday. God used this day to show me I have nothing to fear. Overall I had almost $1,200 given to me to go toward my trip that day! Whhhhaaaatt?!?! I know! Talk about blessings! But they don’t stop there. Today I was talking with my mom about the worry I had with being able to afford a new laptop. As I need one to bring in my trip and the one I own is 5 years old and is super heavy (not optimal to carry for 11 months). Anyway, I was telling her how I was wanting the new surface pro 4 because it’s lightweight, can convert to a laptop or tablet, and had a pretty nice camera for skype and pictures. She looks at me and said text your sister she has one she isn’t using anymore.
Now I know what your thinking.. There’s no way. There’s no way my sister would have a surface pro she’s not using and that I can just take… I thought that too.
But I text her anyway and she said yep I have a surface pro 2 in my closet at mom and dad’s that you can have. WHHHAAAATTT?!?! So I go look and there it Is! In all its glory! Brand new used probably 5 times (she didn’t like it and bought an ipad). Not only did God orchestrate this blessing years in advance, but it’s an older version of exactly what I wanted to buy!! It BLEW my mind!
Truly there are so many other events and blessings that have taken place. These are only two of the most recent. It’s just a small testiment to how Great our God is!
I’d like to ask you all to continue praying for me and this mission trip. I leave for TC in 12 days and I leave for launch in approx. 58 days! Please Pray for all 11 of my countries and that God is intertwined throughout each of them. I would also love if you’d pray that the finances keep coming in! I currently have $5,484 in my account and I need to have $10,000 by sept. 31.
