In honor of the Super Bowl, a 6-point update on everything in my life, in no particular order.
1 – I started student teaching, and it is AWESOME. K-5 general music is where I am meant to be. I love the kids, the content, and my cooperating teacher.
2 – Trevor and I have begun wedding planning. We have a date, rough draft guest list, budget, and two possible venues. Here’s to getting the big stuff out of the way!
3 – Route 3 was edited…I’m now going to Honduras instead of El Salvador! I’ve had a lot of people ask if I was going to Honduras, and I’m excited that I finally get to say yes!
4 – I was honored and humbled to help lead worship at an overnight retreat for InterVarsity this weekend. We studied the life of Jacob, and what it means to wrestle with God. So powerful.
5 – I’M MORE THAN HALFWAY FUNDED. There is so much comfort in knowing I’m halfway there…a little less than $9,000 and a little more than 6 months to go!
6 – I’ve realized that I need to spend more time alone with God. I finally have huge chunks of free time available to me, and it’s time to give that time to God instead of “Say Yes to the Dress”.
Thank you for all of your support, for giving your time in prayer and your finances to my trip. I am so blessed to have so many awesome people on my team. Enjoy the concert tonight!! Oh, and I think there’s a football game on, too… 😉
