It has been a long couple of weeks, I know, but since my last Gratituesday, I’ve packed up my life (not hard, it all fits in two bags haha), said some difficult goodbyes, left home one, reconnected with my squad, and spent a week at a hostel in Costa Rica, being poured into until I was overflowing…and now I’m settled into home number two! I will write a debrief blog and current ministry blog the next time I have access to wifi – pinky promise.

I have a confession to make: since so much has been happening in the last two weeks, it’s been a struggle to keep up my gratitude journal, and it has totally impacted my day-to-day. I want to step into the practice of starting everyday – before my feet hit the floor, even – asking God to show me what I have to be grateful for. If you think about it, send me an email or message or carrier pigeon to ask how that’s going.

Anyways, here is my list:

an eye-opening last week of ministry

reconnecting with squadmates

realizing how precious my YWAM peeps are

travelling by bus

DBS

only forgetting one thing at the YWAM base

having a beautiful and clean hostel in Jaco

making it through customs with no trouble

a whole week of being poured into

a whole week of God turning some things in my life completely upside down

vulnerability with my team

learning how to surf (kind of)

worshipping on a mountaintop

egg shakers

meal planning

lists

grocery shopping

chocolate with orange in it

arriving to an incredible ministry host

having a bed and shelves and running water

a team that loves veggies and variety

ministry hosts that have already poured so much into us

running on the beach

yoga overlooking the ocean

the names of God

my new mentors, Amanda and Daphne

all of the ways God is going to break down the walls of Jaco using worship warriors like myself

What is one way you’ve seen God move this week? Tell me in the comments or an email! I cannot wait to read them and I will be praying that God shows you all of the ways He’s active in your life. 🙂
