GUESS WHAT?!
I started this post on Saturday, like I said I was going to. It was so good to see how many things I had to grateful for just in a matter of a couple of days.
Also, I have a big, giant, humongous thing to be grateful for today…I’m coming home from Italy with my wedding dress.
We found it today in a little shop, in a little town, in a region of the country that Italians even say ‘does not exist’. It will be the best way to incorporate my heritage into my wedding, and I am beyond excited. Additionally, our town is celebrating our citizenship tonight with a meal in the street, made by our new friends – well, family. 🙂 It’s such an exciting and celebratory day. 🙂
With that, here is my list of things to be grateful for this week:
Hot showers
Cool sea water
floatin in the ocean
days of rest
the people of Pietracupa
Holy Spirit for working in my family
The Bible…seriously, God’s voice available always…how incredible is that??
honest businessmen
gracious and generous hosts
beautiful acoustics
feeling at home wherever and whenever thanks to Holy Spirit
Jesus’ power and influence in my life, especially through Trevor
Long walks in the evening time
Beautiful views
God’s redemptive power in sunsets
aloe vera
MY WEDDING DRESS
good smells
rainy days
welcoming priests
God speaks in Italian (and for me, despite it)
Anni, our friend and guide, who is the reason I was able to get my dress today
Psalms 54-56…David sure knew how to calm an anxious heart
Hiking
beautiful views
dried kiwi
shots of espresso
cheap clothes from the beach
a guitar in my hands
