Luke 11:9 says: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
The keywords in this are “ask”, “seek”, and “knock”. We can have faith and pray, but if we wait in bed for God to put our lives together, it’s not going to happen. He will provide, but He loves to work WITH us in addition to FOR us.
With that in mind, let me share with you what this has to do with my fundraising process. I have been fearful and busy. I committed to World Race knowing I would have to fundraise, so I did some, and waited for God to do the rest. But that will not result in growth – not in my faith, and definitely not in my fundraising account.
So I’m stepping out again. My talented and supportive boyfriend, his family, and mine have helped me organize FOUR fundraising concerts (yeah, FOUR). We’ll sing Christmas songs, provide concert-goers with goodies, and I’ll get to tell people about the World Race – how I found it, why I’m doing it, and why I want YOUR support.
