As I prepare to return home to the States, I thought I'd ask for a bit of prayer!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
To finish strong! -that I would be fully present where I am as I wrap up UH month and that as I say goodbye to my team and squad, I would be filled with God's peace.
For safe and hassle-free travels! -I will be alone for what looks like will be about a 27 hour trip (I haven't been alone for 7 months. AT ALL). For safety, confidence, and rest.
For direction upon returning and for a healthy transition. I know that I will need time to process and decompress. I also anticipate a bit of culture shock and depression from such a drastic change in reality and lifestyle.
For a place to find solitude for a few days – anyone have a cabin?
For housing, employment, and a vehicle. For wisdom about returning to the mission field in the future or pursuing ministry or nonprofit work state-side.
For renewed energy, and for strength to fight the enemy as he attempts to make me worry or regret or feel shame in ending the Race early – that I would not be consumed by the fear of what others might think or feel like I have disappointed or let down those who have supported me. That I would remain firm in knowing this is what I need to do and trusting God with the details of coming days.
For wisdom in dealing with my mother and other family relationships. For a loving and motivating spirit. For wisdom in setting healthy boundaries.
For my mother, that she would realize the beauty of life and fight to be healthy. That she would be strengthened to quit smoking and be diligent in changing her lifestyle. That God would show her that He has SO much more in store for her life! For rapid growth! And for healing!
For God's provision in things like:
transportation back to St. Louis from New York City
transportation to Wisconsin
winter clothes, underwear, and hygiene essentials
A little TLC for my hair and feet
Chiropractic care – I have been in serious neck/upper thoracic pain
post Race doctor's exam and blood testing
Visit to DC for a follow-up presentation!
phone repair and service
