Everyday, I am becoming more and more aware of the presence of the evil one. He is a robber of joy and goes to great lengths to lead us to stumble, to denounce our God, and to refrain from shouting the Lord's praises-proclaiming all that He does and continues to do, in love, for us.
I just spent a half hour carefully articulating in a blog how God's word IS relevant, how He has made me a conqueror on this everyday journey, and how the World Race is just one more "leg" of the race. With a click of a button (I don't even know how it happened!), it all disappeared. And unlike with a Word document, you cannot hit "undo".
Frustrating? Yes. But really, it just makes me want to shout "OUR GOD IS GOOD" from the top of my lungs. There will be adversity in this life. There will be trials. There will be a lot of people who won't support or encourage what we do or why we do it. And Satan will do everything in his power to try to distract us from TRUTH. The reality is this: Our God is SO MUCH BIGGER. The Devil ain't got nothin' on the power, might, and WORD of God.
In those moments when you feel the evil one near, or the spiritual warfare is hard to handle, I urge you to proclaim your victory over him, and demand that he withdraw, "Get behind me, Satan!"
