I thought I’d take a brief minute to tell you how excited I am about the Race, and about what God is doing already! It’s funny how the little things can seem so BIG!

For starters, all the Racers were given a press release document to send to local news sources in hopes that they would print it. Like the brave soul that I am, I waited nearly a month before I worked up the courage to actually send it. I did this at 1:30 today. It is now 5:00, and I have discovered that it is already posted on one of the Sault’s biggest news sites! Once again, God has astounded me! I have no idea how many people will see the article, but the word is out! Click here to check it out!

If you know me at all, you know that I love to take pictures. One thing I was worried about was the fact that my camera is old and has a tendency to be stubborn and not work. My brother was at a camera conference (through work) and had the opportunity to tell one of the suppliers about my Race. I didn’t know he was planning on doing this, but he actually asked the rep if they would send me a free camera for the trip. My jaw hit the floor when Mike (I love you!!) told me they agreed. So God is providing a shock-proof, freeze-proof, dust-proof, water-proof camera free of charge!

Another thing: I gave my notice at work the other day because God worked it out for me to get a different, full-time job for the summer! This is a huge relief for me. And the best thing? They’re fine with me taking time off in July (the busiest month) to go to Race training camp!

That’s yet another thing! I was able to connect with a group of people from Michigan who are road-tripping down to camp. This means that I’ll save a TON of money on a flight, and I’ll get to know people along the way!

There are so many other things that are encouraging me in ways I could not tell you. I have visions of backpacks, tents and sleeping bags fluttering through my head at all hours of the day!

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me through words, prayers, thoughts, and finances. I appreciate each and every one of you!
