Whenever I’m asked to describe myself, I usually draw a complete blank….
Like right now, for instance.
My name is Mandi Lee and I come from a crazy (but awesome) family! My parents are the most phenomenal ones in existence and my big brother is one of my best friends. Our home is so full of love and hugs, it’s ridiculous.
I live in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, one of the most beautiful spots in Canada (that’s an unbiased opinion of course). It’s located between 3 of the Great Lakes, and is surrounded by trees and wildlife. I’m living at home, just finished a year of General Arts at the local college, and am working at a tourist shop smack in the middle of nowhere. I’m also on one of the worship teams at church, and have been involved with the youth ministries. Last year, I was able to lead the high school group, and was pulled and stretched in ways I didn’t think possible. They are absolutely wonderful and I wouldn’t trade that time for anything! Just recently I have begun helping out with the Jr. High kids on Sunday mornings, and am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do there.
I don’t have many hobbies or special talents, but I love people, drama, fishing, books, heights, nature, food and laughter! I don’t like butterflies, weird dreams, dogs, or large amounts of exercise.
The greatest blessing in my life is that I was raised to know and love Jesus. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always been worth it. We moved around a lot growing up, so I had to make a choice: trust God in everything, or nothing. His plan for my life didn’t always make sense (and still doesn’t sometimes), but somewhere deep inside, I knew that I’d rather have Him in charge than me. I gave my whole life and self to God, and have never regretted it.
The next step in this journey with Jesus is going on the World Race, and I can’t even begin to say how much I’m looking forward to that! There will be a ton of obstacles and challenges, but I’m ready to face them. God is on my side.
Did I miss anything?
