First of all, I suck at the blogging scene seeing as it’s been a good while since I’ve hopped up on here. I allow myself to get stuck thinking that if I’m going to post it has to be this perfect, elaborate amazing thing which totally isn’t the case! So, here’s a post of some of my most recent thoughts all thrown together, enjoy
I love this day, the day my team and I don’t eat, because my hunger reminds me of what God is ACTAUALLY calling me to…like this is an actual reality for me. Crazy. I will admit, the first fast I was terrible, I had pizza for dinner :))
We fast on the 5th of every month because that is the projected date for our launch in 5 MONTHS!? 5 months until the race looks like buying gear, receiving Training Camp details, making travel plans for the summer to say see ya later’s to family, saving up money, and talking about the race literally every single day. It also looks like trusting in God big time and praying really intentional prayers. When I signed up for the race I knew there would be sacrifice but I honestly thought that part would mostly come later. When I was physically away from my family and my most favorite people, and I thought THAT would be the sacrifice. But surprisingly enough, I was wrong. The sacrifice part has already started and I am so thankful for it. I also had this thought that I would become this completely different person POST world race but, turns out, I’m already becoming a different version of myself that I’ve never really known before. I can feel and see that God is preparing me for this wild, quickly approaching season and I love that a lot. Saying “God, wreck my plans” is the best I have ever done.
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Thank you to my Route 2 Squad for inspiring me to write a dang post!! I love you all and I cannot wait to meet.
Ps- I have been wearing more yellow, if you don’t know what I’m talking about go read my post titled “wear more yellow” 🙂
