Well hello there! I’m Mal.
If you haven’t heard, I’m launching on the World Race in October 2018! The World Race is an eleven month long Christian mission trip to eleven different countries around the world. As explained in the header above, The Race is much “more than a mission trip” and can also be described as an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, and bring the hope and love of Jesus to beautiful corners of the world that are starving for Him. I’ll be living out of only a backpack, saying no to earthly possessions and saying yes to all that Jesus may ask of me to serve in Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Vietnam, Cambodia, Albania, Serbia, Romania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Rwanda all within eleven months!

I am a twenty-one year old kid from Louisville, Kentucky by way of Memphis, Tennessee. That means I’m a northerner for the most part, but one who also says “y’all.” I am a complete kid at heart and would prefer to eat ice cream and watch a Disney Channel Original Movie over probably any activity you could ever name. I also was a cast member and worked for Disney for two and a half of the most magical years of my life. I went to cosmetology school and am a trained hair stylist and makeup artist, and yes I’m bringing my shears on the Race! My role models in life include but are not limited to: Taylor Swift, Luna Lovegood, Haley James Scott, and Moana. I will sing any song from Les Mis or The Greatest Showman on command, at any given time.
But most importantly, I am in love with my King Jesus with all that I am and strive to live everyday of my life in passionate pursuit of Him. He is why I’m going on the World Race. His love is far too great for me to contain in my feeble bones. So great, in fact, that He’s called someone as unqualified as me to go serve and love His children on every corner of the earth.
