This morning while I was reading my bible the Lord led me to Exodus 3. Just to sum it up a little, God reveals to Moses the plan he has for his people that are slaves in Egypt. He tells Moses he has this place set aside for them, “The Promise Land”. He then tells Moses he’s the guy to bring them out of this persecution and into this “Good and Broad land”. Moses struggles to believe he is worthy or capable enough for the job God called him to do. Moses then questions God and makes up every excuse he can think of to try and change God’s mind. To this, God responds by saying “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12)
As I was reading this it reminded me of when I was battling with God about doing the World Race. I responded a lot like Moses, questioning God’s plan for me as well as trying to change His mind. Like that’s even a possibility. I felt as if I wasn’t qualified, equipped or worthy for the job He has called me to do.
When I was at training camp I realized my fears were right because I am not any of those things. I am not qualified, I am not equipped, and I am not worthy. None of us are or ever will be. But God doesn’t call the qualified he qualifies the called. All we need is a willing heart and to say yes to God no matter what He asks from us. He is the only one worthy enough. But that’s why we need to have the yes spirit and let him take over every part of us. With that yes to God and his plan, the incapable become capable and even more so. He will never leave us or forsake us. This is exactly what we need to remember when he puts a calling on us. “Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.” (Psalm 145:3).
I also just wanted to use this to say I met my second deadline!!! Thank y’all so much for supporting and encouraging me! I could not have done it without y’alls giving hearts and prayers!
