What is the race?
The World Race is a journey through 11 countries in 11 months to serve those in need. I will be staying one month in each country and will be working with local churches and organizations to meet the needs of each community while spreading the gospel.
Where am I going?
I will be traveling on The World Race August 2016 Route 3 Trip. This route includes countries in West Africa, Southeast & Central Asia and Central America. The 11 countries include:
Cote d’Ivoire
Ghana
Burkina Faso
India
Nepal
Cambodia
Thailand
El Salvador
Honduras
Guatemala
Belize
(Can’t pronounce the 1st one?… it’s cool. Me either!)
What am I doing?
Ministry on the race looks different day to day. Some days will be spent doing door-to-door ministry, preaching in churches, building relationships with orphans, putting on VBS, doing construction work or ministering to victims of sex trafficking.
Who am I going with?
I will be traveling with my squad on the World Race. My squad will consist of 40–60 people split into teams of six to eight. Once my squad reaches its country for the month, our teams teams will typically spread out to different ministry sites.
Where will I be staying?
My home for the 11 months of the race will be my tent. Many ministries that we will be partnering with will not have beds because the places where we serve are usually too poor to afford such luxuries.
When do I leave?
The launch date for my route is in August 2016. I will be informed of the exact departure date closer to launch.
Is it expensive?
The initial cost of my trip is $17,361. *Deep breath*

I know it is a LOT, but I am confident knowing that when God calls, He provides.
How did I get involved?
I have had multiple friends go on The World Race, which sparked my initial interest. God later put the desire to go heavy on my heart. After lots of prayer, I decided to apply and was later accepted. Now it’s starting to actually sink in! This is really happening.

PRAY FOR ME
This trip is going to be challenging. I am going to need all the prayers I can get. Being away from home for 11 months is not going to be easy.
