I am so excited & feel absolutely blessed to be embarking on the World Race journey July 1! I feel so special that God is drawing me nearer to Him and giving me the desire to begin to fulfill His purpose for me over the next year of my life. Throughout this journey, I know that God will use my past experiences and love & compassion for others to minister to those who are hurting. I also know that I will learn more than I can imagine from my team mates and the people we work with along the way. I have a heart for God, a yearning to grow spiritually, and a desire to become the woman I was created to be. I am seeking a stronger faith, a better understanding of God and His word, and self-discovery. I fully intend to make many sacrifices for the purpose of being a better me along the way. I want to fall in love with Jesus and embrace the love He has for me. There is nothing I want more than to have love and compassion for myself and confidence in my relationship with the Lord, both of which can come only from knowing and understanding Him better.

Aside from personal growth, I can't wait to share the Lord's love with others: to share smiles and laughter with those who have overcome tragedy and despair, to nurture children who may have never been given attention & affection, to speak encouraging words to those who feel broken. There is no greater feeling than to know that you were able to be a light to someone, to give them hope, or to make them feel valued and loved. I can't wait to give lots of hugs, be a listening ear, be a shoulder to cry on, and serve others in the name of Jesus. I look forward to an entire year focused on my Creator… what an incredible opportunity and blessing!
