To my beloved Friends and Family,

Greetings, in the name of the Lord! I am writing to you today with great joy! God has called me to something way bigger than myself, and I would love for you to be a part of it. Since I was a little girl, and my heart was captivated by Jesus, I have had a burning passion to make His love and goodness known to others, specifically to the “least of these.” To hug the hurt, kiss the broken, befriend the lost, and love the lonely. Which is why in August of 2016, I will be leaving for an eleven month mission trip to 11 different countries, called the World Race.

Two years ago I went on a mission’s trip to Thailand and heard about the World Race. I remember thinking that I would never have the guts to actually do it. It would be nearly a year of living way outside of my comfort zone, and I have unfortunately become rather fond of living in my comfortable little box. However, when I returned home from Thailand, God began to speak to me about stepping out of my comfort zone and to trust him and do the World Race. After lots of prayer, following countless other missionaries on their journey, and arguing a lot with God, I applied for the World Race. After online interviews, phone interviews, and lots of waiting, I finally received the call that I was accepted!! YAY!

The World Race is part of an interdenominational Missions organization called Adventures in Missions. Since 1989, Adventures in Missions has sent over 100,000 missionaries into the mission field. The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip around the world to 11 different countries. The unique thing about the World Race is that, other than being a mission’s trip, it is also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. While on this journey my fellow teammates and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. The countries I will be going to are: Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Nepal, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador.

I believe that through the World Race I will be able to step into the destiny that God has called me to, and I would love for you to be a part of my team! Here are a few different ways that you can help me go on the race.

  1. Prayer and Encouragement– More than anything, my squad and I need a team of loved ones dedicated to supporting us in prayer, and perhaps that is the purpose that God intends for you in this letter. Prayer is vital to this trip and to the fulfillment of the calling God has placed on me to go.If you desire to receive updates on specific prayer requests for me and my team, inform me by using the “Contact” button on the left side of my blog. Also, subscribe to my blog to stay connected by simply entering your email and clicking the “Subscribe” button on the left side.                 2 Thessalonians 3:1   As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

  1. Financially– I want to invite you to be a part of my journey, not only through prayer, but through financial giving too. I know that money has been tight due to the bad economy. However, I ask that you pray about helping support me on this journey. This is probably the biggest challenge that I am facing with going on the World Race. The total cost for the trip is $17,361.00. This will cover airfare, food, and lodging, and transportation while in each country. This doesn’t include gear such as my backpack, tent, sleeping pad, shots, etc., which is an extra estimated cost of $2,000.00. Please know that your giving is just as important as my going. If you feel like God is calling you to partner with me by giving, please refer to the following page for more information.

If you are interested in joining my team, I would love to personally meet with you to share a little bit more about my heart and the adventure that is The World Race. You can stay updated on my journey before and during the World Race by following my blog at: www.mallorieramsey.theworldrace.org

With all my Love,
