The World Race has begun!
I flew to Texas and traveled to Matamoros, Mexico
on New Year’s Eve. We have enjoyed four
days of team training before beginning the adventure of a lifetime! While it was difficult to leave home (and
family and friends), I am overwhelmed with the JOY of the Lord in knowing that
I am exactly where I am supposed to be! I
have been blown away by the favor of the Father, the grace of the Lord Jesus,
and empowerment of the Spirit that we have found as we have united together in
preparation and purpose. I hope to send
an update email within the week if possible.
Mallorie’s blog: “One
More Step”
There is a pivotal point in every epic journey. For Frodo and Sam in LOTR, it was a property
line in a field outside the Shire. Sam
stops in his tracks and says, rather poignantly,
“This is it. One more
step, and I will be further from home than I had ever been.”
It was a crossroad moment.
He could choose to take the step and move forward in the journey, or he
could call it off and go home.
For me, the “One More Step” moment found me in the Columbus airport. One more step would take me further than I
had ever been. Further into the
world. Further out of my comfort zone. Further into the heart of God.
What do we do when we stand at the crossroad? For me, there was no question. While part of me wished I could stay with my
loved ones, I knew in my heart what I was
made
to do. I chose to take the step.
And so the journey has begun.
In the first few days, the journey has already been
amazing. The Lord has gathered His
spiritual force of World Racers in Matamoros,
Mexico, and we
have spent the last few days in last-minute training and preparation. We have learned the logistics of traveling
the world, and we have sought the voice and guidance of God.
As I have been reflecting on what the upcoming year may
hold, I am awestruck. The calling of God
(in my life and yours) is one of power and authority. We are going into the nations in the Name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and under the banner of the Most High God. We are empowered as His representatives. The calling of God is one of humility. We can do nothing apart from Him (John 15). We do not minister to others out of
ourselves, but out of the overflow of the love of God in us. Most importantly, the calling of God requires
intimacy with Him.
I have found all of these things in the first few days. Along with seminars and teaching, we have
also taken a day and dedicated it to being still and listening to God. As I sit here in Mexico, I am overwhelmed by our
God. He is SO BIG, and His plans for us
are SO BIG. However, there is no fear,
concern, or anxiety involved, for HE IS WITH US. I love my Lord! He has saved me and healed me and LOVED
ME. He ifs faithful! I am so excited to take this journey with my
Love and my Lord!
Psalm 113:1-3
“Praise the Lord.
Praise the Name of the Lord. Let
the Name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to the place where
it sets, the Name of the Lord is to be praised.”
We will be racing soon…
Yours for the Journey.
