As January comes to an end, we are preparing to leave Mexico and move along on the journey. While new travels and adventures are always exciting, part of me is going to miss Mexico. God has definitely given me His heart for His people here. I am so grateful that He called us here, to meet these beautiful people, and to be a part of what He is doing in Mexico. We have seen many give their lives to the Lord and watched as many claim the freedom He gives. We have loved children and made lifelong (eternity long) friends.
Please pray 1) for us Racers as we move on – that we are able to find closure from our experience and embrace the next, 2) for the friends we have made here – that God will continue to put people into their lives to encourage them, that His Spirit would be working powerfully in them.
We will be debriefing over the weekend, then racing to Guatemala on Sunday. My birthday is on Monday! Yay! We will be spending one week in Guatemala, loving kids that are sick in the hospital.
There has been a change of plans (shocking) regarding the next leg of the race! While the A Squad will be working in Guatemala, as planned, and most of the B Squad will be working in Nicaragua, as planned… Team Agapetos will be working with a contact in Filadelfia, Coasta Rica! Pastor Marcos has been working in a network of small coastal (yes, coastal) towns, and we will be serving and loving alongside him. We are looking forward to hanging out with children, encouraging small groups of believers, speaking God’s Truth, and generally loving on people.
I will most likely be out of contact during the travelling time. I will post updates as often as I can. Stay tuned.
I’m yours for the journey.
