“I have been crucified with Christ and no longer live, but Christ lives in me…”
(Galatians 2:20)

What does it mean to be Christ to the world?

On January 9th, I resolved to “be made Christ,” meaning that I would continually submit myself to God to be transformed into the likeness of his Son.  In the first three months of the World Race,  I have declared the truth and freedom of Jesus Christ, I have prayed with desperate hearts to know Jesus, I have played and laughed with children, and I have sobbed on behalf of others.  My ministry, my love, has morphed into many different forms, all of which could be considered “being the hands and feet of Jesus.”

Yet the question remains…  What does it mean that Christ lives in me?

The following are the words of the Holy Spirit spoken to Reese Howells (
Reese Howells: Intercessor):  “As the Savior had a body, so I dwell in the cleasned temple of the believer.  I am a Person.  I am God, and I am come to ask you to give your body to Me that I may work through it, but you must belong to me without reserve.”

“Our one need is to study and trust the life that has been revealed in Christ as the life that is now ours.  It waits for our consent to gain possession and mastery of our whole being” (
Humility, Andrew Murray).

So it means surrender… of everything that I am…

“Nothing is more natural and beautiful and blessed that to be nothing, so that God may be all.” (
Humility)

“Humility is entire dependence on God.  Humility is not something we bring to God or He bestows.  It is simply the sense of entire nothingness, which comes when we see how truly God is all and in which we make way for God to be all… We must seek a humility which will rest in nothing less than the end and death of self, which gives up all the honor of men as Jesus did, to seek the honor that comes from God alone, which absolutely makes and counts itself nothing so that God may be all, that the Lord alone may be exalted.” (
Humility)

So it means humility… emptiness… being nothing but a vessel…

“Whoever finds his life will lost it, and whoever loses his life for my sake
will find it.”  Jesus (Matthew 10:39)

“Since He died for me, I had died with Him, and I know that the new life is His and not mine”  (
Intercessor).

How can I be transformed to be like Christ and not lose the essence of who God created
me to be?  The truth is, when I am more like Christ, I am more Mallorie.  It is not about killing the “me” in me.  It´s about bringing to life the “me” in me.  The real me.  The me that is found in Christ.

The reward is that in losing my life (surrendering what I want, my dreams, my hopes, my will, my very life) I find true life in Christ.  I experience what it is to live life
with Him.  We live life together, and every day is an adventure.  Live becomes more about being and less about doing.  Still, He works His Will through me, and I get to watch souls come alive.

I become more who I am when I allow Him to come in and take over more and more and more…
Christ take possession and mastery over my whole being!  Amen!
