First of all, let me apologize for the long absence. We have spent the last two weeks in Manzini, Swaziland. The first week was dedicated primarily to debriefing. We were blessed to have some of our beloved women mentors join us, and give their time (and their lives) to us for a few days. It was wonderful to testify to all of the amazing things that the Lord has done in my life recently. From the miracles in Mozambique to deep issues of the heart, my Father has blessed me immensely. I identify with the psalmist when he wrote, “Be at rest, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”
About a week ago, the rest of our world race family joined us in Swazi – the June racers! They are just beginning their eleven-month journey around the world. I am thoroughly impressed with the group – they are willing and on fire and ready to be used by the Lord. A powerful combination. I am blessed to know them, and I know the Lord will use them powerfully to bring His Kingdom.

On Wednesday, the racers will disperse to various areas for the next six weeks. Some are staying in Swaziland. We (Team Agapetos), along with June race teams Concrete, Awaken, and Daughters of Zion are headed back to South Africa. We will be helping with a series of kid’s camps outside of Pretoria. The first week, we will stay at the camp called Refillway, and for the second two weeks, we will be stationed out of the Alabanza base (where we were before) and will be commuting to the camps. We will plan and help with the programming for the camps, and will hang out with a ton of kids ages 7-15ish. We are really excited to laugh and play and give life and love on children.
We will have a time for debrief in South Africa before we fly to Bankok on August 1. Until then, I will update with news and pictures from the kid’s camps in South Africa.
Please be praying for Team Agapetos and especially Jake, as he stays behind for a couple of weeks to take on a logistical role for AIM. He is excited to step into this opportunity to serve the race, and we support him on this journey, though he will be missed. Please pray for our team, as we pour into the June racers and impart everything we have learned to them, and as we seek to “be Christ” to these South African children. Thank you for your continued support and, as always, I’m yours for the Journey.
