Hola from Guatemala!

This is really happening. I’m still trying to comprehend the fact that this is my life for nine months.

The Lord has really blessed our squad with awesome ministries. My team will be teaching students during the week and on Friday’s we will be leading a Bible study at a non-religious school. Along with teaching we have the opportunity to help out at a soccer camp in the village where we are most of the week. The school that we are doing the Bible study at also has 10 guitars, a soccer field, and lots of little niños to be taught. There is something for each one of my teammates. Thank you Jesus.

As I was praying the other day the Lord was telling me to be a giver more than a receiver. I have been preparing for this trip for months. Pursuing God with everything I have but forgetting one of the most important aspects of my relationship with Christ. Discipleship. I can keep filling up with more of the Holy Spirit but if I keep it to myself I am not building the Kingdom. Our father gave up his only son so that we can be with Him again one day. How can we keep that to ourselves? We are surrounded by our brothers and sisters. Some are lost, some broken, and for some it’s too late. Don’t stop at anything to spread the good news!!

And the King will answer them, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”  Matthew 25:40

I can’t wait to share the stories of the miracles that are going to happen within our ministry. God is doing incredible things in Guatemala.
