I am back in Thailand for one more month! I am so thankful for my time in Myanmar, by far it was definitely my favorite month.

Before we left, the missions college we worked with and the kids living in the children’s home put together a farewell service for us. It turned out to actually be a talent show, which we all ended up performing in. We danced, sang, and laughed until our stomachs hurt. At the end we gave farewell speeches. During my speech I announced I would be giving my guitar away to everyone there to use.

The second day I was in Myanmar one of the kids from the children’s home asked me if he could play my guitar. He sat outside playing and shortly after, a few other kids joined him. They started worshipping in Burmese and my heart was so heavy as I felt the Lord telling me I wasn’t leaving with my guitar. Throughout the month they used my guitar to lead worship and sing solos at church on Sundays. It was my very first guitar that I’ve had for years now. I’ve led worship with that guitar many times in many places, but now it’s their turn to let the Lord lead them into new opportunities.

The goodbyes in Myanmar were hard. As the kids and students cried on my shoulder as we said goodbye, I didn’t want to leave. They feel like family to me. One of the girls held my hand the whole night until she had to go inside. I left part of my heart in Myanmar. Even though these goodbyes were difficult, I rejoice in them. I rejoice for the relationships, kingdom built, memories made, and meeting new faces by our Creator.

I can’t wait to see what God has for us this month in Thailand and then Swaziland. Thank you for all of your continued prayers and support!
