I recently just got back from two of the greatest weeks with the most amazing people.

Going into training camp I specifically prayed that the Lord would interrupt my comfort. I didn’t want to leave camp as the same person I was when I arrived. I prayed for my mindset to change, my faith to grow stronger, and for a compassionate soul. These prayers weren’t answered by me just sitting and expecting things to take place. With my hands lifted high and my heart open to receive, I have never experienced such an unconditional love from the Father who created me.

Before training camp, I had never been camping so sleeping in my tent for 10 days was a challenge, but I absolutely loved it. I loved the interesting foods, but crickets were a no go. I loved not knowing what was coming next. No expectations, just go with the flow. I loved constantly being encouraged by the leaders and my squad/team. I’ve never met so many people in one place on fire for God. I loved being down to earth…literally. Most of all, I love the freedom I found at camp.

I have so much joy from the Father to share with the world. This joy cannot be compared to happiness. The joy of the Lord lasts forever! It is the type of joy that makes you jump up and down during worship. The joy that brings the spirit of laughter. Its smile is contagious and it doesn’t settle for just one hug, but two. It is a joy that can’t keep quiet about the Father’s love for us because it knows how unworthiness feels. It’s a joy that brings freedom. And God is telling me to walk in it. No, not just walk in it. RUN. I’m going to keep running in freedom and rejoice; for I am his child.

The best thing that’s ever happened to me is choosing to follow Jesus as my Lord and Savior. And then I have these moments where I completely fall in love with him over again. He’s so so good.

Below are some pictures from camp!
