one of the greatest things that i ended the race with was community. i had the incredible opportunity to spend 9 months with 40+ people constantly pursuing the father. last night i was sitting with him and he put this on my heart:
do you ever just really feel the presence of God in a room? when the band is playing and everyone in the room is incredibly hype. you look around and catch a glimpse of the immense beauty taking place in creation. you think, wow this is what heaven must look like. you cant wipe the smile off your face because of just how good the Father is. and sometimes, pretty much all the time, tears fill your eyes because of where you’ve come from. how far the Father has brought you. and you see the people you’ve just done life with for 9 months. and you think, shoooot! if they could only see how much they look like Jesus. if they could only see how much they’ve grown. there’s something so special about Christ-centered community. simply because it’s not about us. and we all know it. because of the truths we place our feet on, our rejoicing looks kinda different. at first you might think we’re crazy. we are. in fact, we are crazy free. ha! we are fighters. we’ve fought for freedom. we’ve fought for each other. we’ve fought to bring our creator fame. there’s so much freedom when you know who you came from and what you were created for. you never want these incredible moments to end. and although we may not all be in the same place at once again, that’s okay. because heaven isn’t too far away. it’s actually right here. world, watch out for my squad. you’re about to get slapped with some kingdom.
love you gap t.
