The number one thing I have struggled with is the battle between earthly desires and Godly desires. All of my life while serving God, I was so distracted. Distracted by pride, entitlement, and the easy way out that the world has to offer. I have discovered the heart of my Father in such an intense way on the race that I am no longer distracted, but ready to fight for His fame.
“For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of Christ. Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame. They are focused on earthly things, but our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly wait for a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. “ Philippians 3:18-20
Are we living out our identity as citizens of heaven? Or are we settling? We were not made for less than our creator created us to be. Paul says this in Philippians with tears. I had to sit back and look at my attitude towards nonbelievers after I read this. Do I have Christ’s heart for those lost? Not just people in other countries who are living in poverty. But do I have a heart for a lost privileged person? The second we start to choose who we love, we’ve completely lost the heart of it all. It is easier to love some over others, and that’s when we need to ask God for his heart for them.
We live in a world where majority don’t know their worth. I want to see people grow. I want to see them step into their full potential. I want to see lives changed because of Jesus. I want to empower this generation and the next. I challenge everyone who reads this blog to be intentional with the lives around you. Whether it’s your coworker, neighbor, friend, family, etc. The next seed planted starts with you. The next revival starts with you.
