You may have heard about some Joseph Kony guy in Uganda or seen his picture popping up here and there. Well this guy is a really horrible dude who is abducting children and turning them into soldiers. This video will explain everything about him. It is worth watching. Please watch and then continue to read this blog post.

WATCH THE VIDEO 🙂

But I might not have done it right because I can't figure out how to get the video in here so you might have to copy and paste the url into another tab and read all this after…..

The url is at the top of this blog.. Or I can past it right here

After you watch you may finish reading 🙂

That video struck a nerve of mine. It makes me so angry that someone can do all of that and get away with it. Well not this time. I really feel that Joseph Kony will be arrested and that this kind of thing will stop.

You are probably aware that Uganda is one of the countries I am going to and will be there in October of this year. While I will not have anything to do with catching/arresting Kony, I may have the opportunity to talk to/desciple/mentor some children that were in his army and have escaped somehow, or with children who have lost their siblings due to this outrageous crime. I can't go without your support. While $15000 is a lot of money, I don't want anyone to become overwhelmed by that number and think they can't contribute. Just $10 can make a difference. Whether it is $10 a month or just a one time gift of $10 or any other amount you can give will make a huge difference.

Consider this, I can see that about 60-80 people read this blog. If all those people decide to just give $10 that turns into $600-$800 toward this mission. However, if all those people figure someone else will do it and that they can't make a difference then that turns into $0 for this mission. So please prayerfully consider supporting me with whatever you are able to give. I also want to let you know that asking for money has been perhaps the hardest thing I have ever had to do. But it has made me dependent on God and has also had me realize how I use my money.

"For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away."
Matthew 25:29

May the Lord bless your decision.

Love,

Malerie
