Hi friends, we have just finished our first ministry day here and it already has me excited for the future. I want to start off by telling you guys how we got here though! It all started on December 5th, we woke up in Costa Rica and said goodbye to our amazing alumni team leaders. We left the house at 3:30 am to head to the San Jose airport. We laid around the airport until about 6:30 am to get our boarding passes. We got those and then went to our gate we said our final goodbye to Costa Rica at 9:00 am. A super sad goodbye! We had a short layover in Houston. We thought we were going straight to Los Angeles from there. However, we were not expecting to have an extra layover in Baltimore! That was a big change for us and ended up putting half the squad 10 hours behind the others. Once we finally arrived in Los Angeles it was about 2:00 in the morning on December 6th. We woke up at 7:00 to meet my brother and gather some packages from parents. We spent the day running errands and hanging out with family. Then, we said our goodbyes, and then we headed to Taiwan! From LAX it took 14 hours to get to Taiwan. We spent about in hour in the Taiwan airport, then we were off to Phnom Penh! That as the end of our 4 day traveling journey! We got to Cambodia in the morning and it felt so nice outside, but we were soon told to not get used to it because it never feels like that! That made us a little bit nervous for the days to come. Now that we have been here for a couple of days, we have gotten over the jet lag and have started to adjust to Cambodian culture. We are 13 hours ahead of the US, and talking to family has been tough, but we are learning to cope with the little family contact. It has been so cool to see and learn from these great people so far! I am going to be writing a new blog soon on our super awesome ministry and go in depth on our typical day here! We can’t wait for month 4,5,&6 here in Cambodia. I love you all! Please stay tuned for the next one!
