Hi friends!! I am so terribly sorry that I have not been consistently blogging lately. The last half of senior year has definitely been a crazy one thus far and I have a strange feeling that it’s only going to get worse. Also preparing to travel the world has definitely kept me pretty busy. But have no fear, I am here and I am excited to share how the preparation process for the race is going!

Some of you probably already know this, but the countries that I will be traveling to have been released– I will be going to THAILAND, SOUTH AFRICA, AND NICARAGUA! I bet all you folks are happy that I am not embarking on an adventure to west Africa because everyones main concern at this point seems to be ebola. But once again, have no fear, I know that the Lord will be with me. I am super duper ecstatic to be able to call these countries home and to be a part of how God is uniquely working in each one of them.

I have also met most of my squad that I will be traveling with. There are about 50 people on it {I think}. We all have connected over social media {because that’s what our generation does, right?} and we also have a large group message so that we can get to know each other before we travel the world together.

Many people have also been asking me if I have a training of some sort, and that answer is yes. July 25th-Aug 4th I will be flying down to Atlanta to meet my squad face to face and to go though a pretty intense training camp. I’m pretty sure that I will also have one final interview with the organization while I’m there.

I have some pretty swagtastic news that I would love to share with you guys as well. I have met my first fundraising deadline of $6,000!!!!!!! I am SO thankful that you guys have faith in what I am doing. I am AMAZED by all of your hearts and your willingness to give. I really can’t say thank you enough.

Because I have met my first deadline {which isn’t due until May, but I like to be ahead of the game}, I am already moving on to the next one. My next deadline is to have $9,000 raised by June 19th. So that outs me at a little under $3,000 to raise in about 3 months. I have faith that God is going to provide just like he has this whole time.

You’re probably wondering why this blog is titled running around the world, but wait no more, the answer is here. I like to run probably a little more than the average person, so I decided to make a fundraiser out of it. On April 25th I will be running the Kentucky Derby Festival Half Marathon, and I need your help. I am looking for 13 people who would be willing to choose one mile that I will be running and sponsor me for that mile. You can do any amount, and I will be doing something super fantastic with each mile that is going to be revealed at a later time :). So, if that sounds like something you would want to do you can email me at [email protected] or contact me however!

I also have some prayer requests if any of you prayer warriors would like to partner with me and my team in prayer. I would just ask that you would pray for my team as we all fundraise. I know that is something that seems like a huge obstacle to a lot of us right now. Also please pray for us to have strength as the Devil comes down on us pretty hard because he definitely doesn’t want us to go on this journey and he will do whatever he can to stop us. And just that we can all stay healthy and full of the Holy Spirit.

Thanks again for all of your support, you guys are the best friends and family that I could ever ask for <3.
