I’m alive!! My team and I arrived safely and happily to Antigua, Guatemala on Tuesday! What a journey it has already been! Flying over the breathtaking landscape has just been the start to the many surprises this past week. The history and wonder within Guatemala is much too beautiful to express in words. We have been blessed with an amazing host who is on fire for what Jesus has in store these next three months that could result in an eternity of joy.
Experiencing the culture, learning more spanish, meeting the wonderful people filled with love, and seeing our breathtaking views around us has just been a glimpse for why God has called us here. Our focus as a team that we felt God was telling us was to come with BIG FAITH. Trust in God like we have never done before. Pray the biggest prayers we ever have believing God is hearing every word. Hand our lives over to our Father as we enter the streets ministering to the broken. Believe in his love like it’s our last day. Love the broken knowing we all belong to our one and only God! BIG POWERFUL FAITH!
Nueva Generacion is the ministry we have been blessed to work with for the next three months. My team was paired with two others and with the power of God within us we will be teaching value and discipleship classes, translating curriculum, building homes, teaching English and music, training a team of young missionaries to go to Honduras, volunteering at a special needs home with cerebral palsy patients, and lastly helping with a soccer tournament! The soccer tournament will be a full month with games everyday in which we will speak on evangelism topics in between each game to a stadium full of people! I feel in my heart God has so many plans and so many lives that will be changed including my own!
