It is true we could not have done it without you!
This month we have engaged in a variety of tasks at Vision Nicaragua to build into the Kingdom. None of which would have been possible without your prayer and support so I say it again, thank you.
Thank you for time with Thelma cleaning out bodegas. She is a fun and feisty woman who usually welcomed me with a smile, hug and a “God bless you, I love you!” Even if they were the few words she spoke in English it always made my day.
Thelma and I post bodega cleaning
Thank you for time in the Bethel community to do life along side many a dear Nicaraguan. They patiently helped me with my Spanish and I am confident I gave them a laugh or ten trying to share my heart for Jesus in broken Spanglish. It is so refreshing to know that actions, in situations like these, speak so much louder than words.
A couple of girls I spent time with in the Bethel community.
Thank you for days to do village prayer walks. I will miss 45 minute drives on unidentifiable roads into a village nobody remembers to pray healing over a women in a decrepit wheel chair because a routine surgery nine years went awry. These are the afternoons on the Race I have come to treasure because they remind me of the power in the simple practice of prayer.
Thank you for the chance to come along side the Indiana team in oh so many projects: bagging food for distribution in local communities, cheering on staff during a Vision Nicaragua staff appreciation event, participation in painting and construction projects to maintain the property, and helping to host a soccer extravaganza for the boys in near by villages.
Whoops, Sam spilled the beans!
Carolina and her daughter, I enjoyed their company for much of our first community feeding.
The team from Indiana, so much fun!
Nicaragua has secured a special place in my heart and I have you to thank.
Special Addition:
Matt made videos and he said I could share. Enjoy watching our time at the community feeding and volcano sledding….
Yep, this month also brought opportunity to test my atrophying Alpine Slide skills though volcano sledding. You’ll be pleased to know the practice paid off and I did not leave any flesh in Nicaragua. PS: It was AWESOME!
Team Ignition post volcano sledding.
