He arrives every morning and afternoon ready to serve his community through the feeding ministry. A father of four (three in their twenties and a nine year old) he does not look his age of 50 years. Often he is asked why he chooses a vocation of ministry because, "it doesn't make ends meet."
"It doesn't," he concedes but where the bracelet making business of his wife does not cover the remaining cost, his faith does. "I tell people at the feedings; trust in God. My situation allows me to walk with them in the journey of doing just that: trusting God."
What are you trusting the Lord for today?
"My sons eduction. He has an exam coming up that we are a few thousand pesos short. Please pray for his preparation for the test as God will provide the resources; he just needs to provide the right answers."
I smiled; talk about an outlook of complete assurance.
I followed up on this prayer request: resources manifested, his son passed the exam and, if I understood correctly, he posted scores sufficient to enroll in a school that provides tuition at half the price to pastors.
Isn't it just like the Lord to take care of His own…"to make the ends meet."
Bonus Feature – My Teammate Kat put together the following video on the feedings we've been doing. I encourage you to check it out as it captures our corporate experience well and gives you a glimpse of some of the communities we've been serving in. Thanks Kat!
