It is with gratitude (con gradtitud) and amazement that I write. It is amazing to me how fast each month goes by. Month 10 was no different. And, like every other month, when I reflect at the end what all we have to be thankful for there is no shortage of praises to raise.

- Thank you for the opportunity to see Honduras and I mean really see it. By being present at so many ministry sites around Tegucigalpa we really gleaned a feel for the community. I will always remember the green hills that gave way to steep city street inclines and the abundance of color and textures that met my eyes. The view woven together with the gentle and warm nature of the people made this country hard to depart.
- Thank you for the opportunity to serve with Tony and Nadia Deien. I learned a great deal from both Tony and Nadia. Tony has a vision, believes in relationship and is doing a great job wearing a million plus hats. Nadia is everything tender and Honduran. I loved my time with her in the kitchen and I am excited to try some of the Honduran recipe’s she patiently taught me.
- Thank you for four consistent weeks at the government run girls home. We celebrate because we saw some girls go home (this is, we think, a really good thing) and we saw others open up a bit more to prayer and friendship each visit. I rejoice that each week the testimony shared would cause one more girl to come forward and share that she has or does struggle with similar things. To find a friend in the seeming isolation of sin is a powerful, powerful thing.
- Thank you for my fourth month in the classroom teaching English. If you’ve followed the blog awhile you know me by myself in the classroom is not good but with fellow teachers brainstorming up lessons and tutoring one on one, that is a happy place.
- Thank you for sending me to the dump. It pushed me. Kneeling there in God only knows what to pray for Victor Manuel and Ernie brought me to a new understanding of how much I really do love my Lord.
- Thank you for the opportunity to stand on a street corner and look crazy. This is now the second, maybe third time, I’ve been apart of a TV story internationally, and I kind of dig being famous for Jesus.
- Thank you for the visit to the AA men’s group in the city center. I disdain what alcohol does to people but I love what God does for His glory with sober and redeemed men and women. I ask you to continue earnestly praying for these men and any men/women in your life that are subject to the ugly hook of alcohol addiction. They need our prayers desperately.
- Thank you for the chance to be with Z Squad for a month. This family is so dear to me and they strive to love me well. It will be a sad day at the end of this journey to say good-bye to them all.
- Thank you for the chance to do evangelism in various colonies around the city, to participate in a day of prison ministry, do some helpful yard work on the property, to visit Micah Project and to do life with and love on the boys of Zion’s Gate.
In God’s strength we were able to be apart of many endeavors seeking to give Jesus glory and I want to highlight none of it would be possible without YOU!
