There has been a cloud of angst hanging over my team and the balance of the Z Squad this month. The end of month three ushers in a season of transition. New Squad Leaders are raised up from the Squad as we prepare to send our current Squad Leaders home. Our current Squad leaders, Megan and Joshua, have faithful served us these last three months but, having only just returned from their own World Race in May of 2011, it is now time for them to head home, reunite with their families and seek what the Lord has for them post Race. When you raise up new Squad Leaders teams must be reshuffled to account for gaps.

I headed into the month feeling pretty "okay" with the pending unknown changes. Then, God decided to change my Race.  The first change I have to report is that I have been raised up into a leadership position. I will be joining Chris Britton (check out his blog) to support the Squad in the role of Logistics Leader. In short, Chris and I are responsible for all the travel details for getting the Squad from country to country, we act as lesions between the field and the home office, are a support to the new Squad Leaders in a myriad of tasks and field questions for the finance leaders to help them manage their team budgets. The best analogy I have heard for the role is that as a Racer I used to just ride in the car. Now, in this new role, I am under the hood learning how the machine works and helping to trouble shoot problems as they arise.

Change number two is a new team. Now, if you will recall, my initial team, Team Nikao, was comprised of John Michael and Ashley Bonasso, Samantha (Sam) McGuire, Kathryn Law, Jamie Smith, and Tim Eiseman. My new team of seven is Team Ignition with three new members: Matt Bell, Amaris Torres, and Rebecca Wells. The Bonasso's, Sam and I remain.

I came to love Team Nikao and I will miss our dynamic dearly. I acknowledge the good work the Lord and Team Nikao did in my life these first three months. I also understand to take things to the next level, to really grow in the ways I want to and believe God wants me to in this journey this team and this new role are two key ways I am going to be stretched…for God's glory and my good.

With that mind set, I joyfully receive Team Ignition and my Logistics hat trusting they will receive grace with each attempt at growth along the way.
