Were it not for a few minor blips on the screen, I could say today is like any other. I got up and started getting ready for the day. Then, while I was brushing my teeth, I looked up and noticed my mom snapping a picture. Really? That'll be a keeper; it says, "Geez, maybe the nurse should have let her get a rabies shot." As I waited in the security line at DIA, which I could easily be doing for any number of work trips or weekend get-a-ways, I realized what it may be like to be famous. My dear and wonderful family had cameras/iPhones snapping and hands rapidly waving. I've never been so aware going thru security to be polite and organized (in fear an oops would be documented for all time). I've just plopped down from my traditional stroll of the entire terminal, goodness knows I'll be doing my share of sitting in the near future, and I caught myself reaching for my phone to fire off a few texts or fill the wait with a quick phone call to any number of you dear ones — whoever answers first. Alas, I have no phone to speak of. Only an emergency calling card and this here computer.

I learned last night, but I think I knew it before, that "ALOHA" is both a greeting and a farewell in Hawaiian. Moreover, it has its etymology in Hawaiian literature for meaning, "love". I am embracing "Aloha" on this abnormally, normal day. Farewell for a while to many precious friends and cheerleaders in this endeavor. Greetings to those of you on the Z Squad that I will be reunited with here shortly and to those around the world I have not yet met but ache to know and learn from. Loves and huge hugs to my amazing family who I will miss dearly but carry oh so close to my heart.

I stood for a moment at the west end of the terminal gazing on what could be seen of the mountains behind the overcast September sky. I quietly noted that the cloud cover was cloaking the view I know and love so well. "Stand her no longer my sweet; I have more to show you." I'm not sure if it was my own voice or the voice of another I am learning to hear but regardless the statement was true. I cast but a brief glance over my shoulder as I strolled away, "Yes Lord, let's go see what we can find."
