God is so good and I am amazed by his provision in my life. Now as I am fundraising for the world race I must raise $13,800. I don’t know where all these funds are going to come from, but God does. The Lord is challenging me and teaching me to see him as my Father and not just as God.  When I say Father, I mean that I would see him as not only my spiritual but also as my practical provider, protector and “coach”. I have a mental picture of me playing soccer (not that I play soccer but for whatever reason, that’s what I am doing in this picture) and the Lord is on the side lines cheering me on as a coach would. He is also providing strategy to the game, showing me how to play efficiently and win. Along with this mental picture is a deeper sense that the Lord does not limit himself to the side line but actively blesses every effort I put forth.

A recent example of this is a dance party fundraiser that I held last week. The Lord spoke to me that day as I was rushing around finishing up my tasks that this whole world race is not about me, its not about the money, its not even about the people who will come the party that night. It is about HIM. Thank you Jesus. My focus shifted from tasks to the seeking the Lords glory. As I was walking to the door of the dance studio I was approached by a lady handing out flyers. Turns out she was the pastor of a new church, “Upon the Lords church” just down the street. She asked about what I was doing and I told her where upon she said she would like for her church to support me. A few days later I visited the church and she wrote out a check to support me in my mission financially!

I know that it was the Lords grace that I was able to turn my focus to him that he blessed the dance party fundraiser. When I have my eyes on him, I am not worried. When I am seeking him and knowing him as my Father I have peace. It is because of his great love for me that he will provide. He who created me, chose me, saved me and is now drawing me close to him like a child to her father…He will provide.
