Oh the Joy of Fundraising…
Over the past month I have had two fundraisers: a dance
party and an informal tea party/bake sale/plant sale/ candle sale. The dance
party was lots of fun. We danced the salsa, swing, hip hop and some line
dancing. I think we even did a little NSYNC bye
bye bye. Many of my wonderful friends from church attended this
entertaining event. I must write a huge thank you to my wonderful friend Jesus
Villegas who provided the dance studio and DJ’ed the dance at no charge. He is
an awesome DJ should you ever need one…
The informal tea party/bake sale/plant sale/ candle sale
also went very well. My coworkers and friends came by and enjoyed some tea while
shopping through the plants and baked goods. This sale was definitely more
lucrative than the dance party, but the Lord is good and is using every event.
Aside from fundraising, working and living life, I am trying
to get mentally and spiritually prepared for this amazing journey, but it has
been very difficult. Just the other day it hit me that I would be leaving in about
a month and a half. That’s not a lot of time! So many tasks to complete yet I
need more and more just to spend time away with the Lord. It will all get done;
it always does because He is in charge.

Prayer
Thank you so much to everyone who is already supporting me
in prayer! Please continue as I need much more prayer and I will always need
more prayer! Please pray for continued financial blessing and provision. Pray
also for the Lord’s will and purpose to be done in my life. Pray that my eyes
would be set on Him alone. Also remember my team and pray that we would be an
effective ministry team where ever we go. Pray for team unity.

The Lord has been SO good to me! Currently I have about
$6,000 in my AIM account. I have about another $5000 in pledges. So that means
