The Lord has been doing some crazy things in my life recently, one of those things being a healing miracle. Praise the Lord!!! It all started Friday morning when I opted out of the ministry opportunities that morning in favor of sitting before the Lord. I down loaded the “Crazy Courage” sermon by Bill Johnson from the Bethel Church in Redding, CA (www.ibethel.org). The sermon spoke about Jonathan and his armor bearer going up before the Philistines on the mountain side and how that took crazy courage. It also spoke about how those stories of crazy courage draw people out of the passivity in which they live their lives. For me, that was true. For too long I have been holding back for various reasons and not stepping out to pray the crazy things that God has asked of me. So it pretty much gave me a swift kick in the pants and challenged me to started praying crazy prayers.

So the same night that I had listened to that sermon, one of our group members has fairly seriously hurt his ankle by smashing it on the side of the bed. Being a nurse I had examined his ankle and was counseling him that he may need to get x-rays to ascertain if there were a fracture or not. I also was telling him how to RICE(rest, ice, compress, elevate) his ankle, when the Lord strongly impressed on my heart that we just needed to pray for him. So with Melanie and Stacey each with their hands on the hurt ankle I just started declaring truth and praying crazy prayers, asking God for healing. And…He answered!!! While we were praying God touched down and healed the ankle, suddenly there was no more pain and he was able to have full range of motion. When before he could not put any pressure on the ankle to even walk, he was now banging it on the ground, stomping!!! Praise God!!!

Having this as a stimuli, a group of seven of us went out into the city with the intention to step out in supernatural courage and pray crazy prayers. We wanted to see more healings; though God had a different, better plan for us. Instead of another physical healing, we were able to witness a spiritual one when a man came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior! Praise God again!

The Lord has taught me through all of this that He is good all of the time. ALL the time God is good. Even when we don’t understand or when he changes the plan, He is always working for the best of everyone involved. I wanted to see another physical healing, but the Lord wanted his child to join the eternal family. The physical supports the spiritual. Just as the physical healing of Brian’s ankle supported my spirit to go out in to the city and pray which gave a spiritual eternal result. God is good, all of the time, God is GOOD!
