One thing that I have come to really appreciate about my squad is our stimulation of creativity and encouragement to step out into new ways of expressing that. I have done art throughout high school, and I am going to be going to school for it. So, I came onto the race thinking that I would need to keep up my skills and practice. But what I found was that I could create with the Lord, celebrate a piece even if it wasn’t my best work, and have fun. Not all of these pieces or sketches are something I’m super proud of in the sense of technical skill, but I love them because they mean something to me and I had fun making them, and that’s what really matters.
