Cold showers!
You may think these are reserved for sore dancers, or over pushed athletes, but I’d like to unform you that they are also the everyday reality of a world racer.
I think I’ve felt warm water in Colombia 2 times, and yes I did want to shower in the sink that very moment.
But you have to do what you have to do.
I’m going to teach you everything I know about taking an effective, and efficient, ice cold shower.
#1 timing.
I think morning showers are the best. You start your day off getting woken up by nice cold water. Sounds miserable but trust me it so much better then going to sleep after a freezing cold water.
Any time after 9pm your guaranteed hypothermia so just play it safe.
#2 get a good shower dance rutine.
After talking to several of my team mates, it seems that you discover your dance routine pretty quickly.
Here’s my personal shower dance.
A) wet sponge,
B) get body really soapy (real head to toe action)
C) tell yourself, you cant stay soapy
D) quickly run under the water spin a few time while rinsing your body off.
E) turn off the water.
#3 done!
You’ve completed taking a shower. Give yourself a high five and know what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Side note. I think my skin really enjoys cold water because it has been the softest ever!!
