This month my team and I are living in Lezhe, Albania. If you have ever seen Princess Diaries- this place feels very much like Genovia. Or what it would be like if it was a place. To give you the full mental experience, imagine a relaxed and airy farm town with a older small city, add cigarette smoke, Muslim and catholic beliefs, Italian culture, lots of farm animals and frozen toes- and that it this magical place, oh and with A LOT of bread.

Our team feels right at home with our ministry which is Light Force that serves to plant churches, teach English, and hosts an adventure camp for kids in the summers. Our team’s job is to work from 7:30 am- 1:00 pm cleaning the barn and taking care of the animals (feeding animals and cleaning up quite a bit of pig poop), working in the garden and taking care of the property, and helping cook meals and clean up in the kitchen. Nana Dusha is a sweet woman who feeds us- lots of bread and a lot of love. She loves people through food and smiles. She is so great! Frok is the head of the farm and he gives us our daily duties.

We arrived on Tuesday night after long travels days from Cambodia to Singapore to Greece to Albania. Mama Dusha made us some dinner and then we went to bed. Yesterday we had an orientation and the son of one of the farmers- Erman took us into the city to go to thrift shops for some warmer clothes and to get coffee. Today we began working on the farm and it was amazing. It is a bit of a change from what we have been doing so far on the Race and it feels good! I can’t wait to see how the Lord moves this month in us as people and through using us to reach others!
