My first two weeks in Battambang, Cambodia has already been filled with so much joy and adventure. I have also already seen so many ways God is working in this place in the short time I have spent here. Last week we spent our time during the day painting at a local school in the city. It was so great being able to brighten up the place for the kids and just make it overflow with God’s joy. The atmosphere in Cambodia is very dark. I could feel it in my heart when I got here. A sense of heaviness and darkness. I know the kids can feel it too. My team was so blessed to have a chance to help change that atmosphere in the school and create a place full of bright colors and joy. We prayed every morning when we got to the school and played worship music as we painted. I could feel the atmosphere in that school change as the days went on.
My ministry for the rest of my time here will look different than this previous week. I am eager to begin and tell you guys what my ministry will involve. I will be given so many amazing opportunities to see God move.
