This is me and my team at Launch in Georgia! It’s weird to look at this picture and know that we barely knew each other then – living in the same room with each other for 2 months really forces you to get to know each other : )

For some reason, this is one of my favorite pictures. Everything is so still. The laundry has all been hand-washed and the sky is so blue and clear. Also check out the bottom right corner for a cute little Taylor chilling in the hammock.

One of my favorite things to do is doodle – it’s one of my favorite ways to spend time with the Lord. We often turn on some chill/vibe-y music and just paint or draw. It’s the best. I find so much peace in moments like these.

Laundry! Confession: I love the smell of clean laundry. Seriously, it’s one of my favorite things. But unfortunately, it is so rare when you have to wash your own clothes. I have slowly figured out that I am the actual worst at hand-washing my clothes. But I’m so grateful for little moments like this where we can just laugh about something stupid as we wash our clothes (then hang them up even though they never fully dry).

This is my girl gang (well some of them)! This was a day that we decided to take the bus into San Jose and adventure around the city looking for thrift shops and street vendors.

T! Such a sweet light to our team! I love taking pictures of her spinning – she has so much joy! She also goes barefoot into grocery stores. What a weird human. T, I’m so thankful for you!!

Our whole squad went to a volcano except for 7 of us. Instead, the 7 of us spent the quiet morning making pancakes and loving on each other. That was one of my favorite moments. Friendships I wouldn’t have expected blossomed that day! Praise the Lord for these sweet girls!

Talisha, Hal, and T (hehe look at Talisha’s face). This was on the way to the waterfall! I love doing life with these gals.  Also, Tennygirl- she has so much joy!!! She also wears her sweatpants inside out on purpose. We had to cross this bridge to get the waterfall. It reminded me of Shrek.

God’s creation at its finest!  This waterfall was the coolest thing ever. Majestic. Beautiful! Also, at this waterfall I ran into someone who is from St. Louis. The Lord works in the coolest ways.

Dance parties! My team is always dancing. My teammates are so good at finding joy in the littlest of moments – like random dance parties on the deck!

Debrief!! We got to spend a whole week in the coolest Hostel on the beach in Jaco! Pure beauty! We also did sand masks and got some super good barbecue chicken pizza : )

Bus rides! Our team rides the bus for a few hours everyday home from ministry. At the beginning, the bus ride was so hard. We all dreaded it. But slowly, we have all found so much peace in riding that yellow, Japanese bus. Open the windows, turn on some music, and feel alive! It’s the best.

Aves got lice!! T and I picked through her head for a while – Aves has got a LOT of hair on that head of hers. Headlamps and lice treatments led to good convos and late nights!! Living in community is all about serving each other well. Aves I loved picking through your head for little critters!!

Ministry! Ok real talk- ministry is really hard for me. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Costa Rica is hot and these kids lack a lot of discipline. It has been really hard to find a balance between trying to control these children and having fun with them. Slowly, I realized that I needed to give up my desire for control and man, has he really started to move! These little punks are the cutest beans you’ll ever meet. They just want to play. They remind me what a child-like faith looks like.

Also, yesterday we got to roast marshmallows with them. It was one of my favorite days so far. We all sat around our tiny little campfire and ate lots of toasted marshmallows. I accidentally burnt mine so badly and it tasted very charred, but Delkis (the sweet woman who runs the daycare) gave me three more marshmallows and made it all better : )

I hope these pictures gave ya a glimpse into what life looks like over here in Costa Rica! It’s not always easy and fun- it comes with lots of challenge and choice.

I am also still in need of a little bit more funding! I just want to ask you to prayerfully consider donating. I am short about $1,800. The Lord has truly provided and He will continue to provide!

Thank y’all so much : )
