These lyrics have been my heart’s song while I’ve been in Cambodia.
My tent is pitched on the roof of where I live. My internal alarm wakes me every morning at 6:15, and the first thing my blurry eyes behold is a sky exploding with pinks and oranges and purples. It’s brilliant. It’s beautiful. It brings me to worship each morning, my heart singing in awe of my Father.
Knowing Jesus is just like this. Like waking up to the most beautiful sunrise you can imagine. The colors dance all around you. They fill your heart with hope. They bring peace to your whole being. You don’t think of anything other than the beauty you are beholding. The experience is overwhelming—indescribable. And in that moment you realize where true freedom is found. In that moment you realize that there’s nothing on this earth more worth giving your days to.
So dance in the light of the dawn. Let the colors fill your soul. Your life will never be the same again.
