Hello everyone! I am excited to share with you that in September of 2017 I will be going on the World Race Gap Year. This means that I’ll be leaving American soil for 9 months and living in 5 different countries! My route goes to Colombia, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia, and Albania. I will be devoting all of my time to mission work in these various countries, whether that be working in orphanages, teaching English, manual labor, prayer walking or evangelizing. The opportunities to love and serve are limitless. I can’t explain how excited I am to ditch school for a little while and embrace a new kind of education by immersing myself in different cultures and communities. God is doing SO many amazing things all around the world and I will get to participate in them first hand!
When I first learned about the World Race a little over a year ago, it immediately grabbed my attention as it was everything that I was wanting in my first year out of high school. I didn’t know something like this existed – it was perfect! I stayed up all night long reading about it and about people’s experiences, and I felt the strongest calling from God I’ve ever experienced. He overwhelmed my soul with the word “go.” And from that moment up until this point, that calling has not wavered. So, I will go.
As this will probably be the most amazing thing I’ll have ever experienced, I think it will also be the most challenging. So I would greatly appreciate your support. I believe that I will most importantly need prayer. I’m already struggling with the thought of leaving home and with staying on top of all the things I need to be doing leading up to this trip, so I would love prayer for those things. Also, in order to leave fully funded in September, I need to raise $14,951, and I sure can’t do that all on my own. I trust that God will provide for me as He always does, and He does that through people. So I ask that you prayerfully consider being a part of God’s work in my life and donating to my trip. I will be grateful for every dollar because this is so important to me.
Thank you for reading and beginning this journey with me! Your prayers and support mean so much!
