I want to tell you all more about the wonderful friends I made in Thailand. During an ATL, and on my teams first outing together, we got massages at Flower Massage and befriended some of the workers. Basically we laughed and joked during the entire massage. After the massages we prayed for the owner, Em and her sister, Lek, before leaving that day.

Tori and Em

Passing by later that night, Lek pointed to the back of the store where Em was praying. It was wonderful to see. They are friends with Emmi, the owner of Zion, so they know about God, butI was (and am) unsure if they identified as christian.

Later on in the week we invited them for coffee and they offered to make us lunch. We took their coffee orders and the next day met them at the massage parlor. It was an amazing lunch, they outdid themselves and we couldn’t eat it all. Tho to be fair they didn’t finish their drinks either so I guess it kinda worked out on both our ends.

We spent the hour getting to know each other better. Translating a few things, laughing at YouTube videos, and finding out this was their last day. Em was going back to Hong Kong to visit family and maybe start working their. And Lek was going to Germany for a few months to visit her sister.

We were all really sad. These girls were awesome and I’d been so blessed to meet them. So we decided to exchange contact info and try to keep in touch. Especially if were anywhere near hong Kong when we goto China.
OH and we threw a party. We invited them to worship with us Saturday night and it could be in part a Sending off party for both them and us, seeing as the next week were were leaving for the village.

Lek was the only one who could make it, and we had a blast. We danced, sang in both English and Thai, and Emmi translated while Tori shared part of her testimony. We ended the night writing messages on balloons and giving them to Lek to take with her to Germany.

Lek and the Love Rangers after worship

I’m so blessed to have met these women and gotten to get to know them over my few weeks in Thailand. They are funny and kind, I’m going to miss saying ‘Hi’ when i pass by their shop. Thailand is a gift giving culture, and Lek gifted us with mini elephant keychains before we left.

God Bless These Beautiful Children!!
