It is amazing how close you can become to 5 other women you didn’t even know months before when you travel the world with them. Standing on the beach with them on our final night as a team I realized just how much they had impacted my life. I learned so much from each one and they will forever be lifelong friends.
I never expected our team would eventually end up changing but the night before team changes, I had a feeling it would. We spent our final night as a team on a beautiful beach in Cape Town and wrote our name, L.O.L in the sand; as the water came and washed it away I realized that the tides of life will always rise and wash away things that have once been written, but that does not change the fact that they were once there. Team L.O.L will forever be a part of my life and I am excited to carry the experience I had with them into my new team.
The next day we were given a slip of paper with the names of our new team members. Shannon had a dream back in the Philippines that our team would completely change but Shannon and I would still remain on the same team. Her name ended up being written on that sheet along with 4 other women. The other girls on my team are Sara Norton, Kat Davis, Jessica Fischbach and Britni Bersin, I am so excited that God has blessed me with another ALL girls team and that He has placed each one of these women on my team. They are each incredibly strong and encouraging women; hence our new name Sound of Strength. This will be our team for the next 8 months and I can’t wait to see the ways God will use each one of these girls to impact my life.
