“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works.” John 14:12  This is a mighty statement and if we actually believe it, what does it mean for our faith?

Jesus is speaking to his people, to us, he tells us that anyone who believes in Him will do the same works that he did. The same works! Is that something that I actually believe? Jesus was a healer, a redeemer, he literally made the blind see and the sick well.  What a promise He gives us, either we can believe that we have the power to do all things through Him or we write this statement off and continue on with our lives, not fully trusting God and His promises.

This is something that I have always struggled with but have begun to see that when I actually believe, big things will happen. It wasn’t until this race that I was forced to trust that big things could happen if I believed that God could do them. When I first told people that I was doing an 11-month mission trip, living out of a backpack, selling what I owned, many people would say, I could never do something like that. I would always smile but secretly I would think “How in the world am I going to do something like this?” And a bigger question, how am I going to raise $14,800?

I am blown away but through many generous donations I have reached my goal!! With my monthly donors, I am now only $200 away from being fully funded! It amazes me that God provided such a large amount of money, but should I really be amazed? For a God who is in the business of miracles, such a thing is small if we are only willing to ask. Today are you willing to ask God for something that may seem impossible?

Thank you to everyone who donated to my trip, I could never have done this without your prayers and financial support!!
