I’m a thistle.

Now, before you jump to conclusions I am not  always prickly.  I am sometimes. And it is usually unintentional.  I am not like a venus fly trap who tries to be nasty, I just do on accident. I’m working on it. #community #feedback

But seriously, thistles are beautiful.  They are incredibly vibrant. They undergo a transformation from a prickly pod to become a very fluffy, puffy flower. They thrive at high altitudes. They do not bloom in huge bundles.  There is one bloom per stalk (that I have seen). They have a scent that is subtle yet very nice when you get close enough (don’t take the parallel literally).

I picked one on a hike that we went on as a team and carried it on a 3 hour hike. I got poked a few times, but mostly I just admired how cool it was. It was incredibly soft on the top and was perfectly designed.  God really is insanely creative. I mean, who thinks to make a vibrantly purple pom pom flower, but put spikes all around it. He’s so cool.
