Thank you for checking in! I am excited about this Journey with y’all and can’t wait to see what the Lord does over the course of the next year.

I am praying for this to be a multifaceted platform; first, as an avenue with which to glorify the Lord as I tell y’all the amazing things He’s doing in my life and around the world. Secondly, it’s a way to ask for prayer and support and third, as a way for you to keep up with me as I embark on this crazy endeavor.

I want y’all to know from the get-go that I am in no way a talented writer (mom got all the eggs in that basket). If nothing else, stick around for the humor of my egregious grammatical errors. But I promise to do my best!

I don’t really know where to start so in the words of Fraulein Maria, “let’s start at the very beginning. A very good pace to start.”

I have always loved traveling to new places and experiencing new things. There is something so powerful about the perspective travel gives a person. Seeing The Lord at work in other parts of the word reminds me how finite my time here really is, and how fortunate I am to be given the life I have.

I knew post-college was going to be spent abroad. How, where, and what that was going to look like kept changing. That is, until I spoke with a good friend of mine on the phone about her plans after college and she name dropped the World Race. At the time it was like, yep, that sounds like something that is right up HER alley. But I want to do something cool on my travels. That sounds a little too Jesus-y for me. Little did I know…

Fast forward a few months and the Lord is kneading my heart like dough, continually telling me, no really…I am THE COOLEST. I am. I AM.

Praise the Lord for grace and the Holy Spirit.

I have been continually surprised, encouraged and humbled by the support and excitement of the people I have told about the World Race.

My aim is to be honest with you. Vulnerable. That is a scary place to be for me.

I am asking, if you are willing, to partner with me in prayer as I start this journey. Please pray for humility, trust, and patience…IN ABUNDANCE.             I will try to make it a point to include specific prayer requests at the bottom of each post so you can stay up to date.

I am also asking for you to partner with my financially. If you didn’t see the support bar at the top of this blog, I need to raise over $17,000. Yikes. But the Lord is faithful. And I will be devoting a whole post to this soon.

Until next time,

Mags

As I started this post a song came with the lyrics

“We’re a thousand miles from comfort,

we have traveled land and sea,

but as long as you are with me,

there’s no place I’d rather be.”

I love it when the Lord speaks through secular songs! So this is my prayer for the indefinite future, until the Lord puts some new lyrics on my heart.
