This past month in Swaziland at El Shaddai has been an unforgettable one.
I have loved on kids and held babies (which if you know me is something that makes me super uncomfortable).
I have been a part of worship sessions on top of a mountain at sunset overlooking Swazi.
I have bonded with and lived in community with (including the good and bad parts of community) all my squad mates.
I have grown and been stretched and have explored more of what God wants to show me on this race of mine.
This month we have also had a team member go home. Because of this we have had to have some changes to our teams.
I am so excited that Katie and Corinne are joining Jessica, Rachel, Meredith and I in forming a new group. Going forward to India we will start over and have a fresh start in living this adventure to the fullest and allowing God to work through us.
As a new team we decided on a new name: An Geadh-Glas (AKA Spirit Chasers)
An Geadh-Glas refers to a Celtic word meaning “Wild Goose” that Celtics referred the Holy Spirit to. Mark Batterson explains it well in his book Wild Goose Chase.
“the name hints at the mysterious nature of the Holy Spirit. Much like a wild goose, the spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger and an air of unpredictability surround him. And while the name my sound a little sacrilegious at first earshot, I cannot think of a better description of what its like to pursue the Spirits leading through life than a wild goose chase…I understand that “wild goose chase” typically refers to a purposeless endeavor without a defined destination. But chasing the Wild Goose is different. The promptings of the Holy Spirit can sometimes seem pretty pointless, but rest assured, God is working His plan. And if you chase the Wild Goose, He will take you places you never could have imagined going by paths you never knew existed.
I am so glad to be living life with these ladies and excited to see what God has planned for our team.
